sizing of new Internet explorer windows

alright, here's the question...somehow (can't imagine how), I started getting some porn pop-ups. Now whenever I click a link that opens a new window, the IE is just a tiny bar that I have to expand manually. How do I set it so that new windows open full-screen, or at least large enough to see?

I remembered reading in other forums about resizing windows and found some posts that might help you...copied and pasted here...

#1...

Right click on the desktop.
Click open "properties"

Open up settings.

Set the screen area to 800 x 600 pixels.
High color 16 bit

Also, click open advanced:

Choose a font size. I like "small"

Try this: Open up a window... say in IE. Drag it out to what you want - Hold Ctrl and click X to close it

Now open another window and it should default to that size. If you want it maximized upon opening - then do the same thing again - hit the MAXIMIZE button - Hold Ctrl and close it. I SHOULD open up MAXIMIZED !
